John is the Manager of FNZC's Havelock North office.

He commenced his financial services career in Wellington in 1975 and has extensive knowledge and experience of financial products and the investment markets, developed through a number of roles in both sharebroking and merchant banking.

In 2003, having spent seven years managing the local branch of a national sharebroking and funds management firm, he set up Lockie & Associates, a specialist investment advisory firm for higher net wealth investors. His company was purchased by FNZC in 2008 and the team now constitutes the Havelock North Branch.

John has been actively involved in the Hawkes Bay community over a number of years and is currently trustee for the Mills Family Charitable Trust that provides scholarships for outstanding Hawkes Bay scholars.

From 1988 to the end of 1999 Brett was a touring tennis professional. He reached a career high world ranking of 32 and spent 7 years ranked inside the top 100 players in the world. Brett also represented New Zealand in the Davis Cup competition from 1989 to 1999, as well as participating in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Following his successful sporting career Brett coached tennis for 3 years. After completing his Bachelor of Business Studies degree Brett worked at FNZC over the summer 2004-05 period before joining the Firm fulltime in August 2005.

Kyle has worked in the financial services industry for over eight years across banking, insurance and investments, firstly with a boutique advisory firm, followed by time at New Zealand’s largest life insurer and later the BNZ Private Bank. As part of the Private Banking team, he was engaged with helping high net worth individuals, families, trusts, charities and others with tailored wealth solutions. In doing so, he built up experience in portfolio construction, portfolio management, advising and dealing in equities and bonds.
