Jeremy Ashcroft started in the sharebroking industry in 1986 as an investor adviser and floor trader with Morrow & Benjamin. He then travelled to South Africa and broked for several years.

From 1988 to the end of 1999 Brett was a touring tennis professional. He reached a career high world ranking of 32 and spent 7 years ranked inside the top 100 players in the world. Brett also represented New Zealand in the Davis Cup competition from 1989 to 1999, as well as participating in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Following his successful sporting career Brett coached tennis for 3 years. After completing his Bachelor of Business Studies degree Brett worked at First NZ Capital over the summer 2004-05 period before joining the Firm fulltime in August 2005.

From 1987-2002 Andrew was employed with Reuters Limited in the financial information services area. During this period Andrew worked in Sales in New Zealand, Regional Marketing and Training in Singapore and the Global Foreign Exchange and Money markets group in London.

Following his time with Reuters, Andrew returned to New Zealand and has focused on supporting and raising capital for early stage businesses, predominantly focusing on the technology sector. Andrew joined First NZ Capital in February 2008.
