The NZ equity market finished the day almost unchanged at 7,053. Only two stocks recorded notable changes over the day: Arvida Group $1.36 (+2.3%), A2 Milk $2.29 (+2.7%). Briscoe’s Group announced that sales for the Briscoe’s homeware chain sales rose 4.1% to $373 million in year ended January 2017, while sales at Rebel Sports grew 7.9% to $210 million. Managing Director, Rod Duke , noted gross margins had been maintained and that profit for the year is expected to have grown around 25% to $59 million. Abano Healthcare’s directors reiterated that shareholders should reject the bid from Healthcare Partners. So far the bid has attracted 1% of Abano’s shares. The offer is scheduled to expire on 3 March 2017.
